In a new step towards distinguishing ingenious scientific innovations and achieving sustainability, Kuwait College of Science & Technology (KCST), a member of Al Mulla Group and the leading educational organization in Kuwait since 2015, has recently launched the “Innovative Energy Harvesting Net Zero Green Room”, the first of its kind project in Kuwait and the region to support clean energy supported by the UK Embassy in Kuwait.
The announcement came at the official opening ceremony, which was held at the KCST’s campus in Doha area, in the presence of the British Ambassador to Kuwait H.E. Belinda Lewis, H.E. Melissa Kelly the Australian Ambassador to Kuwait, the Chair of Board of Trustees at KCST H.E. Ambassador Nabeela Al Mulla, the Deputy Chair of the Board of Trustees at KCST and Chief Strategy Officer at Al Mulla Group Ms. Danah Al Mulla, and the President of Kuwait College of Science & Technology Professor Khalid Al-Begain.
This new innovation consists of a portable room for producing and storing renewable solar energy capable of producing enough energy for complete self-sufficiency for air-conditioning and working independently even in high temperature conditions, aiming at enhancing clean energy and reducing carbon dioxide emission to reach zero net emissions, which is also one of the core goals towards achieving Kuwait’s vision 2035.
