Al Mulla Group & Rolls-Royce Power Systems Sign a Strategic Agreement to Provide Innovative Power Solutions

Al Mulla Group, Kuwait’s leading and vastly diversified privately-held Family Business Group since 1938, has recently signed a strategic partnership agreement with Rolls-Royce Power Systems, a renowned provider of world-class power solutions under the product and solution brand mtu. This strategic collaboration between Al Mulla Group and Rolls-Royce Power Systems will see Al Mulla Power Solutions Co. (AMPS), a newly established subsidiary of Al Mulla Group, become the sole distribution partner of Rolls-Royce’s innovative and sustainable mtu power solutions in Kuwait.


The momentous bilateral agreement between the two companies was signed at a special official signing ceremony that took place recently at the Headquarters of Al Mulla Group in Kuwait in the presence of the Board Member and Chief Executive Officer of Al Mulla Group Mr. Talal A. Al Mulla, accompanied by members of the Al Mulla Group senior management, and by Ms. Simone Rühfel, Vice President Global Markets who was joined by the Head of Middle East, Alpin Asim Yildirim representing Rolls-Royce at this special ceremony.
Continuing with its mission to always invest in innovative and sustainable power solutions through building long-lasting partnerships with world leading providers of advanced technology and power solutions, Al Mulla Group reaffirms its leading position in the market to provide: power solutions from Rolls-Royce Power Systems like Power Generation, No Break Power, and Sustainability, Value Service Solutions such as ValueCare, Warranties, and Reman & Overhaul, as well as Microgrid & Digital Solutions and Energy Storage Solutions.
Reflecting on the partnership with Rolls-Royce Power Systems, Mr. Talal A. Following the official signing ceremony that took place at the headquarters of Al Mulla Group in Kuwait, the two business partners cemented the agreement by conducting an official Ground-breaking ceremony for the Al Mulla Power Solution Facility, (AMPS Service and Repair Center).
With construction plans to conclude in early 2026, AMPS is developing a technically advanced facility to repair, overhaul test mtu engines and power generators. The facility will be built in the Ahmadi Industrial Area, near the Oil and Gas Industrial Zone. Built on an area of over 5,000 sqm, and housing a state-of-the-art marine and diesel generator workshop, the new facility will be able to repair and overhaul (stage 4 overhauling) mtu engines (Series 2000 and 4000), with the ability to attend four engines simultaneously. The AMPS Service and Repair Center will also house an engine disassembly and assembly area, washing/cleaning area, painting/finishing area, and a storage facility. The complex will also house modern offices and a training center for AMPS employees and their esteemed customers. Additionally, it will include areas for storage and dyno testing of engines, and load testing for power generators before delivery to customers.


Looking ahead, this strategic collaboration promises to bring among other things:
1. Significant contribution to the energy transition with environmentally-friendly technologies from the mtu product and solution brand for drive, propulsion and power generation.
2. Deliver standby power for safety-critical plants.
3. Deliver integrated drive and propulsion systems for ships and heavy-duty land vehicles


State-of-the-art MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) facilities
These advanced facilities will enable AMPS to provide unparalleled service levels for the entire fleet of mtu engines in Kuwait. The new facilities will include capabilities for major overhauls, ensuring to deliver top-quality maintenance and support to customers. The partnership between Al Mulla Power Solutions and Rolls-Royce, will also open the way for further investment opportunities and strategic expansion for Al Mulla Group in the field of power and energy generation.
